To Our Valued Patients:
We wanted to send this letter to inform you of the current state and future changes to our dental practice. Your health and safety are always our primary concern, and as such, we want to make sure you are protected when a need for dental treatment arises. We are monitoring the current outbreak of COVID-19, and want to assure you we have developed strategies across our team to address the issues as they evolve. We are deeply focused on ensuring you receive the best and safest oral care and treatment.
In an effort to ensure your safety, we are putting into place infection control and informed consent standards to exceed traditional dental policies. We are implementing new changes with your health in mind. In today’s environment, this also means that we will be changing work flow patterns as well as increasing our safety measures by adding air disinfection devices proven to kill the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The use of protective equipment, face shields, and N95 level masks are standard, as will be additional measures such as oral and hand disinfectant, temperature monitoring of both staff and patients, and possible point-of-care testing (if and when available).
In an effort to curb the spread of the virus, we are following every guideline from the CDC and the American Dental Association, so that we meet and exceed whatever is recommended to prevent the spread of this virus. We are evolving and reacting to emerging research data by updating patient care policies so that our patients, staff, and colleagues are treated safely with these new strict safety guidelines in place.
The safety and well-being of our patients continue to be our primary concern. We will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 both nationally and within our community and will keep you up-to-date regarding the plans we have to restart routine dental care.
We want to remind everyone that we are in this together and together we will get through these difficult times. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Of course, please call right away if you have a dental emergency, or need immediate care. We hope to see you all very soon, but until then, stay safe.
Regards,
Drs. Stein, Weiss, and the entire team at The Stein Center for Advanced Dentistry
